One of the founders of the conservative movement in America, Russell Kirk, wrote an epic list of ten key principles that define a conservative shortly before his death. Principle number one â the first and most primary principle â was this: a conservative respects the moral order of society. http://www.kirkcenter.org/index.php/detail/ten-conservative-principles/ Not surprisingly, but unquestionably disgustingly, 23 Republicans in the Indiana House of Representatives betrayed that principle, betrayed the authority of Godâs word, and voted to disenfranchise every single Hoosier voter by joining the radical gay lobby and the morally corrupt liberal Democrats in gutting the Indiana Marriage Amendment and effectively killing it last Monday. Many of them will still go to church. Many of them will hide behind rhetoric and idiotic smokescreens like âseparation of church and state,â but they have made their choice. When given the opportunity to stand for Godâs moral authority in our society, they rejected Him. The consequence of that choice that they should fear most is not the one in the hands of voters.
